I know many exceptionally intelligent people. People who are bright and brilliant and understand things like quadratic equations: an equation in which the highest power of an unknown quantity is a squared. I know people with almost as many initials behind their names as the letters required to spell the name itself.
I know all these wonderfully smart people. But only a few times in my life have I met a genius. They’re the people I want to hang out with. They’re the ones I want to be like. To them, the Highest Power is a known quantity.
They’re people who know what to look for. They’re the ones who see the saint in the sinner, instead of the sinner in the saint.

Beautiful Debbie! That’s what I miss in being able to be with you. Sure we can talk on the phone and that is wonderful but to have a person along side you who sees things with the eyes of God is indescribable. Thanks for the writing it brought me back to a piece of myself that I enjoy.
