It’s a Mystery

I do not understand the mystery of grace – only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us.  ~Anne Lamott

Part of the mystery is that grace ever found me at all. I certainly wasn’t looking for it. I had sunk so deeply in the quagmire of legalism and good-doing that I really didn’t see any need.

In the midst of all the muck, grace met me where I was and didn’t leave me where it found me.
